"The Zandeji Chronicles, in a way, started for me in high school with a very vivid dream that I had about a massive encampment of colorful tents surrounding a stadium-sized tent. Within the tent were any number of creatures both human and otherwise gathered within the stands and on a floor around a circular device that projected an entire galaxy of worlds above it. Each attendee was taking their turn discussing how their culture viewed and worshiped God. I knew that they were trying to find common ground on which to come together for the good of creation. The dream ended with that, but the image of many cultures and religions coming together under one banner to eradicate evil has been a phantom in my mind every time I work on this series.
